What This Is Really About
We've spent decades in environments where your tools either perform or they don't. Military service. Wildland firefighting. The field, the water, the jobsite. We know what it means to reach for a knife when conditions are unpredictable and failure isn't an option.
That experience is behind every blade we and it's behind this guarantee. We don't offer lifetime coverage because it's a good sales point. We offer it because we build knives we're confident enough to back without an expiration date. If a Rucker knife ever falls short of the standard it left this shop with, we want to know about it and we want to make it right.
Honest wear is part of the story. A blade that's been in the field should look like it has. Battle-worn, earned, carried hard, that's proof of a knife doing exactly what it was built to do. What we're here for is everything beyond that: the edge that needs restoring, the repair that needs a bladesmith's hands, the knife that's been through something and needs to come back to working condition before it goes back out.

What We'll Do
When you send your knife back to us, our bladesmiths will inspect it completely blade, edge geometry, handle fit, hardware, and finish. We'll clean it, sharpen it, and repair what needs repairing. We'll restore it to the functional condition it had the day it arrived at your door.
We're not trying to make it look untouched. We want to see our knives earned. After years in the field, your knife should still perform like day one even if it doesn't look like it. That's the standard we hold on the way out the door, and it's the standard we hold when it comes back.

If your knife ever needs attention, send it in. We will sharpen it, restore it, and get it back to working condition at no charge.
What’s Covered
• Free lifetime sharpening
• Edge performance and restoration
• Defects in materials or workmanship
• Structural integrity under normal use
What’s Not Covered
We do not cover damage from misuse or modification, including:
• Broken tips from prying or impact
• Damage from improper sharpening
• Corrosion from neglect or improper storage
• Handle damage from chemicals or extreme exposure
Normal wear, patina, scuffs, and honest use are expected. That is part of the story, not a defect.
Service Process
Email info@ruckerknives.com with your order number and what the knife needs. We will respond within 3 to 5 business days with instructions.
Customers cover shipping to us. We cover return shipping on approved sharpening and warranty work.
Turnaround
Most work is completed within 2 to 3 weeks from receipt. If that changes, we will let you know.
One Last Thing
We do not build safe queens.
These knives are made to be used, and when they need attention, we will take care of them. That is the deal.
