Jim is an Army veteran and retired law enforcement officer who brings relentless attention to detail to everything he builds.

He was introduced to knifemaking years ago in Thomas Rucker’s garage and has been honing his craft ever since. In the shop, Jim focuses on sheath work, finishing knives from blanks, and sharpening—work that demands precision and consistency.

Born and raised in Montana, he spends his time outside the shop fishing and hunting. He lives the same lifestyle these tools are built for.
